In May, the bid and ask prices for various types of technology and production years in the Polish market have experienced a slight increase, except for the 2022 GOs. Among the price changes observed, the most significant rise is seen in the bid and ask prices for Wind/PV GOs pertaining to the 2025 production year, which have gone up by PLN 1.07/MWh (approximately EUR 0.24/MWh) compared to the previous month.

In comparison to the previous month, the premiums for current year 2022 EU GOs have experienced the most significant reduction. The premium has decreased from €3.03/MWh to €2.20/MWh, representing a reduction of approximately 30%. Conversely, the premiums for other production years remained relatively stable.

As of now, the trading prices for Polish wind/PV and biomass/co-fired GOs for the 2022 production year range from €4.97/MWh to €5.45/MWh and €5.08/MWh to €5.56/MWh, respectively. In contrast, EU GOs for the same production year are trading at higher prices, ranging from €7.15/MWh to €7.50/MWh for wind/PV GOs and €7.39/MWh to €7.70/MWh for biomass/co-fired GOs.

The graph above provides a visual representation of the monthly market activity and volume-weighted average price (VWAP) in the Polish GO market over the past two years, indicating a downward trend in market activity during the upcoming months. This suggests that there will be a decrease in market participation and liquidity in the Polish market in the near future.
