Lead Analyst - EU Carbon

LinkedIn

I’m Veyt’s lead analyst on EU carbon, creating models for the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EUETS) market. My focus is forecasting European power sector emissions and long-term carbon prices in Europe. I work on analytical tools and quantitative modelling to provide customers with a data-driven product that explains the complexity of the European carbon market. I sit between the analysts and developers, working closely with both to best display our data on dashboards.

I was a carbon market analyst for over ten years with Thomson Reuters and Refinitiv before joining Veyt.I am a mathematician by training and started my career as a programmer, using both skill sets to develop mathematical models for carbon markets.I am the lead analyst in the European carbon team, providing strategic direction on our models and scenarios and overseeing product development.

My objective is to provide informative models that help customers navigate towards a net-zero world.Modelling policy decisions in a political market like carbon requires focusing on which facts are most important in driving the market. My role is to ensure that our maths and modelling is accurate, ensuring that our clients are well informed and that Veyt is known as an objective voice in the market.

Coming from a coal-dominated country like Poland has motivated me to work in carbon markets and renewables analysis. Carbon markets offer a tangible solution to accelerate decarbonisation for Poland and other fossil fuel-reliant countries. What drives me is the ability to produce data-driven analytics that help our customers through the energy transition process, resulting in reduced emissions.

Quote from Marta Wroniszewska
I am motivated to work in renewables and carbon markets with Veyt because, as a Polish citizen, 80 % of our power is generated with fossil fuels. Carbon markets offer a tangible solution to accelerate decarbonisation for Poland and other fossil fuel using countries.
